Framed Print of Yellowstone Wolves by Monte Dolack. Preowned in excellent condition
Winning Bid: $30.00
Item condition: Used
Description
This image was commissioned by Defenders of Wildlife in an effort to restore the gray
wolf to Yellowstone National Park. It was reproduced from an original acrylic painting
depicting the Fire Hole Valley in Yellowstone National Park.
The poster was featured in 2011 at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, along with
24 other posters by Monte Dolack to celebrate the International Year of the Forest.
The Rocky Mountain grey wolf was originally one of the wildlife species that lived in the Yellowstone National Park. Hunted to near extinction and missing from the Park for decades, the wolf was reintroduced.” (Statement from the Monte Dolack Graphics note for this item.)
