John F. McGee was born and raised in Iowa. Received his Bachelor and Masters degrees
from the University of Northern Iowa. Studied under Frank Howell, his former teacher
tuned full-time artist. After living in Colorado for a number of years, John, his wife, and
their son returned to the Midwest, to Wisconsin, to be near family. There John maintains a
studio and continues to pursue his love for art. Known for his ability to produce works in
many different mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor

Purchased for $900 in 1980. His paintings have remained highly desirable over the years.  Current sale prices are in the thousands.
